Vicks VapoRub is specially formulated with three active cough suppressants: menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus oil. Uses: When applied to the chest and throat, it temporarily relieves coughing caused by mild throat and bronchial irritation associated with the common cold. When applied to muscles and joints, it temporarily relieves mild muscle and joint pain. Directions for use: Adults and children 2 years of age and older Apply a thick layer to the neck and chest as a cough suppressant Cover with a warm, dry cloth as needed Wear loose clothing around the neck and chest to allow the vapors to reach the nose and mouth Use up to 3 times daily or as directed by a physician For mild muscle/joint pain, apply to the affected area, but do not apply more than 34 times a day However, do not use in children under 2 years of age
