This product is made from Shigaraki's special clay, which contains heat-resistant materials, and is safe for use over an open flame, in the oven, or in the microwave. It's convenient for baking, boiling, and reheating, and can be served directly on the table. Its excellent heat retention and far-infrared effects enhance the flavor of ingredients. Because it uses rough clay (containing heat-resistant materials) that contains stones, holes or scratches-like streaks may appear on the bottom, which are unavoidable during the manufacturing process to express the texture of the material and fully demonstrate the heat-resistant qualities of the dish. This does not affect use, so please understand that this is just the texture. Another characteristic of the clay is its water-absorbency.
