Feeding amounts are only a guideline and may vary depending on activity level, health, life stage, and temperature. Maintaining ideal body condition is important for your dog's long-term health. Solid Gold dog food is a complete and balanced food, so additional food, treats, and chews may alter this balance. Provide fresh, clean water daily. We recommend your dog's annual veterinarian visit. For Nursing, Lactating, and Pregnant Puppies: Puppies should begin eating solid food at 3-4 weeks of age. We recommend weaning (6-8 weeks of age) powdered food or canned Solid Gold food in warm water. Maintain your dog's ideal body condition. Appetite fluctuations are normal for most dogs. Dogs and pregnant/nursing females may require two to three times more food than indicated in the table.
