The RZ250, released in 1980, was developed as a culmination of Yamaha's two-stroke technology amid increasingly strict environmental regulations. It was a huge hit, revolutionizing the market trend that was shifting to four-strokes and sparking the subsequent boom in racer replicas. It has enjoyed immense popularity ever since.
The RZ250 has been faithfully reproduced, faithfully recreating its shape and presence, including the water-cooled twin-cylinder engine developed for the TZ250/350 production racers, the first Monocross rear suspension on a production road sports model, and the bold styling designed by the GK Industrial Design Institute.
The tank and frame are die-cast, adding a high level of weight and texture. This is a finished model with excellent value for money.
