[Product Description]
This is a plastic model kit that requires assembly and painting. Tools, paints, etc. are required separately.
Product Description
This is a plastic assembly kit model of the aircraft carrier Taiho, which was completed in March 1944 during the latter stages of the Pacific War. Despite being highly anticipated as the ace of the Japanese Navy's task force, it was lost in the Pacific Ocean just three months later in a submarine attack during the Battle of the Philippine Sea.
The unique style of the ship, known as an enclosed bow, in which the armored flight deck and the outer hull of the bow extended all the way to the flight deck, is faithfully reproduced. The bridge and armament components are also sharply finished.
The mast can be displayed in either combat or cruising position, and the elevator can be set in either raised or lowered position. A wide variety of aircraft, including the Zero Fighter Type 52 and the Tenzan carrier-based attack aircraft, are also included.
