The Tobu Railway 10000 series is a ground-only vehicle manufactured from 1983 based on the 9000 series as a commuter model succeeding the 8000 series. It began operation on the Tojo Line in December 1983, and in March 1984 began operation on Tobu main line systems such as the Isesaki Line and Nikko Line.
The 20m-class, 4-door, double-door, stainless steel lightweight body is wrapped in a royal maroon stripe, and it is still in operation today. 2-, 6-, and 8-car formations were manufactured, and the 2-, 6-, and 8-car formations are used on Tobu main line systems such as the Isesaki Line and Nikko Line, while the 10-car formations, which were later remodeled, are used on the Tojo Line.
Cars manufactured after 1986 have different floor color and seat armrest shape, and the color of the seat moquettes has changed from Colorado orange to the current yellow-green from 11606F manufactured in that year, and the cars that were completed in Colorado orange were later replaced with yellow-green.
Currently, all 2-car formations have been renovated and are used for one-man operation on the Sano Line, Kiryu Line, Koizumi Line, etc. This product is a product of the appearance before the renovation work.
