Three-way column speaker system with universal application. Thanks to the doubling of powerful 8" woofers with a lightweight polypropylene diaphragm, Wega 55 MKIII have a considerable power reserve and decent drive in the bass.. The polypropylene membrane is lightweight and yet rigid, thanks to which the bass is powerful and dense, and at the same time very fast and accurate. The same concept was applied to the center speaker with a 5.5-inch polypropylene diaphragm placed in a rigid, separate chamber. This solution, in combination with the 1-inch Vifa tweeter, is the secret to the precision of the Wega 55 MKIII speakers. In the bass-reflex speaker, a layered front panel is used to increase the system's stiffness. The speakers are recessed with a minimal gap to suppress edge diffraction. Surface and transverse reinforcements are used inside the cabinet. The sophisticated electronic crossover is placed on an insulation panel with soldering points. The individual components are glued to the panel, and the component leads are connected directly to each other using the D2D method. The soldered connection system is also used to connect the drivers and terminal blocks. On the bottom of the speaker there are nuts with metric M6 thread enabling the mounting of spikes. The connection terminals allow for both Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping connections as well as the use of cables with a cross-section of 4.5 mm2.
