The short-stroke basket long cast reel, popular with anglers, has been redesigned with a new line drop prevention mechanism.

■ZAION Body × 25mm Stroke

■New line drop prevention mechanism (further evolved from the previous mechanism)
A unique line drop prevention mechanism is incorporated into the short skirt spool, which is prone to line tangles.
It suppresses line intrusion up to the main shaft. When a line drop occurs, the structure wraps the line around the spool.
※Note: If the line cannot be recovered using the above method, remove the spool to untangle the line.
■Spool compatibility
“Spool compatibility” is one of the advantages of Daiwa basket reels.
In basket long-distance casting, frequent main line changes are required depending on the situation, making spool compatibility an indispensable feature.

Cross Wrap A cross-winding method that adopts a large winding angle to prevent line ingrowth and misalignment in the spool winding section. This significantly reduces line tangles, especially when using fine lines or PE lines, while also achieving a smooth cast.
Air Bail A smooth, seamless bail shape that guides the line to the line roller, dramatically reducing line tangles. Additionally, the hollow structure achieves significant strength enhancement without increasing weight.
Twist Buster II By applying a taper to the line roller and rolling the line, it cancels out line twist generated by rotor rotation. This significantly reduces line twist, which was once considered an inevitable issue with spinning reels, minimizing line issues and enabling comfortable fishing.
